Work Experience:

Saudi Arabia (2017 - 2021)

▪ Joan worked as a domestic helper for an Arab family with three children aged 8, 7, and 4 when she arrived. After one month, her employer became pregnant with the fourth child, and a year later, she was pregnant again with the fifth child. Joan was responsible for looking after the children from birth as they grew. She worked for 3 years and 7 months as the sole helper in a two-story house with six rooms and two toilets. Her primary duties included childcare, as well as household chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and ironing.

Singapore (2021 - 2022)

▪ Joan worked for a Taiwanese-Singaporean family with a 2-month-old baby. She was the only helper in a HDB with three bedrooms and two toilets. Her main responsibilities included newborn care (bathing, bottle-feeding, diaper changing) and household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and cooking.

Singapore (2022)

▪ Joan was employed by a Filipina-Indian family with two children: a 9-year-old with autism and a 3-year-old. She was the only helper in a HDB with three bedrooms plus two toilets and was responsible for childcare, including sending and fetching the children from school. In addition, she handled household chores such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and cooking.

Singapore (2022 - 2023)

▪ Joan worked for a Chinese expatriate family with a 10-year-old child and two elderly family members who were still healthy. She was the only helper in a two-story house with three bedrooms and three toilets. She assisted the child and also took care of their pet bird by feeding it. Her responsibilities included cleaning, laundry, ironing, and cooking.

Singapore (2023 - 2025)

▪ Joan is currently working for an Indian Punjabi-Singaporean family with two children, a 3-year-old and a newborn. She sleeps with the baby at night and ensures the newborn’s safety and daily needs. There are two helpers in the household, and the residence is an HDB unit with four rooms and two toilets. Her duties include household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and ironing.
