Jocelyn worked for a Chinese elderly couple. Ah Ma had half-body stroke, while Ah Kong had dementia. They lived in an HDB flat with 3 bedrooms and 2 toilets, and Jocelyn was the only helper in the household.

From 2022 until 2024, she worked for another Chinese family in Singapore residing in an HDB flat with 2 bedrooms and 2 toilets. The family had three children—a 3-year-old boy and two girls aged 5 and 6 years old—as well as one elderly woman with asthma. She was the only helper and her main responsibilities included childcare such as preparing school items, uniforms, and assignments, as well as elderly care, including assisting in bathing and giving medicine.
